Bikes for Africa, The Bicycle refurbishing Initiative, develops a working model in South Africa and in Europe / USA. to establish a Bicycle Refurbishing Industry target of realizing more cycling, contributing to Velo Mondial’s objectives. Bikes for Africa is seeking support from sponsors, municipalities and associations to finance the transportation of bicycle laden containers from Rotterdam to Cape Town. Every ’Bikes for Africa Certificate’ sold guarantees the transportation of one container with app. 350 second hand bicycles at a value of € 2500.
