The Conference Selection Advisory Committee helps in selecting future Conference sites.
Pascal van den Noort is chair of the Executive Board and runs the day to day operations of Velo Mondial He also runs Velo.Info and Pas-Port to Mobility as its Executive Director. He is a conceptual thinker who has vast experience in realizingthese concepts by creating and setting up (inter) national and global organizations,networks, projects, conferences and events. He is Executive Director of MasterPlan BV and develops brands like Velo Mondial, Velo.Info, Pas-Port to Mobility,Pas-Port to Cycling, With a Dutch Touch, Amsterdam Taxi Award, Low Lijn.
He is Member of the Advisory Board of the World Carfree Network and serves onthe board of the foundation: ‘In the footsteps of Mandela’. He is correspondentto World Streets and member of the International Advisory Council to The NewMobility Agenda. He is Member of the Intertraffic jury for the Innovation Awardand of the Steering Committee of the World Smart Capital Initiative.
He is actually involved in the setting up of research projects that promotesustainable urban development at a wider level and specializes in makinginformation for sustainability mobility better available. He is the proud andsole owner of the rights to use Elsevier’s Collexis Search Engine onSustainable Mobility and develops this tool with his partners in [With a DutchTouch].
He focusses on [With a Dutch Touch] a network and community action program promotingAmsterdam and Dutch sustainable mobility knowledge, experience and policy. ’TheLow Lijn Lounge & Bicycle Parking Facility’, the Hanging Bicycle Gardens and the Light & Soundplan for Leidseplein’ are innovative answers to cycling parking and square management in Center Amsterdam.
He recently rounded off the project Safer BraIn that focuses on the position ofvulnerable road users in Brazil and India. He is partner for dissemination inone of Europe’s CIVITAS PLUS projects called MIMOSA, working with Gdansk,Talinn, Funchal, Bologna and Utrecht. For MIMOSA he is publishing 8 thematicvideo’s as well a book and portal on cycling planning.
Before setting up Velo Mondial he was the founding Executive Director of theDutch Aids Foundation as well as of the Global Network of People Living withHIV/AIDS (GNP+).
